VINTAGE ZEOS POCKET PC CIRCA 1992 RARE COMPUTER MUSEUM PIECE. PUT IN NEW BATTERIES, WORKS GREAT! COMES WITH WHAT'S PICTURED.Apparently sold only via mail order, and although much too large to be considered as pocket-size, with its large screen and keyboard, the Zeos Pocket PC (PPC) is a very useful and convenient MS-DOS based palmtop computer.
Running on just two "AA" batteries, the PPC runs Microsoft MS-DOS 5.0, which is built-into the system ROM, so no valuable RAM memory is wasted. And since the RAM memory is battery-backed, the systems remembers previous data, and returns to the same application from when last shutdown.
Microsoft Works, the Microsoft home productivity software suite, is built-in, as is a custom Personal Information Manager (PIM) software interface. Other applications include File Management, Planner (calendar), ToDo List, Card File (contacts), Calculator, and File Transfer.
The PPC maps the two PCMCIA expansion slots as drives A: and B:, and accepts most type-1 PCMCIA memory cards.
The built-in 512KB ROM is mapped as drive C:, another 1MB ROM as drive D:. These hold the MS-DOS operating system, Microsoft Works, and the other built-in application.
An internal 384KB battery-backed "RAM disk" is mapped as drive E: by the operating system
