    Description

From the estate of a Green Valley, Arizona collector.
Small pottery bowl made at San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico.
Measures about 3 inches in diameter at its widest point; sits 2½ inches high.
The bowl features an exceptionally fine rendering of the Pueblo
    Avanyu (Awanyu).
Frankly, I'm surprised that this bowl is not signed, the quality of the painting is THAT good.
    The
    Avanyu
is a Pueblo deity, the guardian of water. It is represented as a feathered serpent.
Please examine all of the photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding.
