    Description

    This old vintage trivet is rich in age and and country style! It has a folksy Pennsylvania Dutch motif of a lovely sprouting grain and joined with flanking brooms or perhaps tassels. The It is very sturdy, made of black cast iron. Curling scrolls and a heart completes its charming lyre shape. It stands on 4 small pegs for balance. I believe it was made by Wilton Products who also produced many other cast-iron trivets, as well as doorstops, match safes, kitchenware, sconces and figures from 1935 to 1989. The Wilton family founded Susquehanna Castings in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania in 1893.
    Condition is very good for its age and normal wear has given it a nice rustic patina. The piece measures 7 1/2" in length and 4 3/4" in width with a depth of 3/4". Add this useful trivet to your country house or shabby decor and carry an age-old tradition of love and warmth to your family!
