    Description

    Item Description
    :
This silver bolo tie has been beautifully crafted with a deep red coral branch and carved turquoise. This looks to be the craftsmanship of famous Zuni silversmith Dan Simplicio. Dan used deep red coral branch and deep blue carved turquoise in his pieces. He also often iincorporated free flowing elaborate silver settings with leaves and intricate stampwork. However, Dan didn't always sign his work and this piece is unsigned, so I can't be certain that this is his work. The bolo measures 2 3/8" tall by 2" across. The bolo tie weighs 44.75 grams. Thick silver loops are used at the back to hold the tie in place. One of the silver tips has 2 dents, the other tip is in good condition. And, there is one break in one of the leather strips that creates the braided tie. This bolo has a great old silver patina from age and is in great vintage condition.
