Honeywell H200 theory of operation manuals. shipped media mailWant to know what is going on inside a computer?
(Or at least what was going on in the 60’s for the model H1200).
These manuals are from an era when techs were required to troubleshoot down to the gate level by chasing signals using a scope and eventually changing components (usually transistors). Their training was a detailed coverage of how the machine worked - e.g. how each subcommand moved bits around the registers for each “instruction”. The manual is about 334 pages and the flow chart book is 203 and both are in good condition with no torn or creased pages. They cover the machine operation in great detail but actually working on a 1200would require the relevant wiring documents (

was the term Honeywell used). I have tried to provide enough photos to give insight into the contents of the manuals (excuse the snippets of the flashlight in the photos – used to hold pages open).
The sections in the table of contents are ;Intro, Timing, Control Unit, Extraction, Main Memory, Arithmetic, Logic Instructions, Control Memory, Control Instructions, Storage Protect, Edit, Multiply / Divide, Control Panel, Input / Output, 0191 Option, Extended Multiprogramming. (Hard to believe there was a time when I knew what all of these meant.)
I am moving to retirement housing and clearing out 47 yrs of “stuff ”so I cannot accept returns and will start the bidding low
