    full range and firm movement of the slide stage, objective lenses appear t be in good condition,  all the knobs turn without sticking or binding (as thy should)

    -  I am not a microscope guru.  This is my best description from what I see and feel as I examined and photographed this beast.  It is heavy!v  I never had to offer a microscope before.
    If you have any questions please ask before making the purchase.   That is always best.
    Comes from the home of a retired UNC professor here in NC.
    A tad dirty because I did not clean it because I didn't know how the cleaning products might affect the mechanism and lenses.  Better safe than sorry.  I know you have far better experience than I.
