this must be special - Why because somewhere along the line of it's history someone felt that it was so special they had to repair it.
No makers marks and stands a little higher than the average trivet at 1 5/8" high
Made of brass and just very cool.
can you imagine the woman who insisted on having it repaired or the gentleman who took it upon himself to fix it as a nice gesture. The stories can pour out with what events made this a unique and special piece.
