    A very cool, antique
    ,
    brass and iron, hand-casted hearth/fireplace grate trivet with a wooden handle.  This vintage trivet was used primarily to set pots or kettles by the fireplace to stay warm. The trivet has a brass top, which is rich in detail, and measures approximately 13" tall, 14" wide, and is in great vintage condition.  Please see photos for details as they are part of the description.
