9mm Garter Bar & Needlestopper Set - for Bulky Knitting machines!
If you have a 9mm Bulky knitting machine then this is the set you'd need.
I am the manufacturer and creator of these open-track garter bars. Both the garter bars and the needlestoppers are manufactured right here in the United States.  The garter bars are a high quality stainless steel that have been laser cut then polished with a specialty polishing procedure.
Garter Bars
are for making garter stitch, fancy stitches, decreases, increasing, & more. If you'd like to see the Kriskrafter garter bar in use, go to Youtube (shown on various machines) and look at videos posted by users:  Kriskrafter, Diana Sullivan, and Cynthia Ogden.  Garter bars make garter stitch by slipping your working stitches off the machine and on to the garter bar.  You then flip the bar over and then re-hang the stitches on to the machine, thus knitting on both sides making garter stitch.  Garter bars are also used for making fancy stitches, decreases, increases etc.  Practice makes perfect!  It does take a little practice to master but once you've got it, you've got it!
Using
Needlestoppers
is especially important on some machines where the needles tend to be looser and have more wobble side-to-side and back-to-front.  The needlestoppers hold the needles completely still while you manipulate the garter bars on the live stitches.  Needlestoppers are also great for "speed ripping"  What is speed ripping?  If you've made a mistake that is say, 8 rows back, and you need to rip out to that point and re-knit it, you can use the needlestoppers to rip those rows out so fast you won't believe it.  If you want to see an example of speed ripping, go to Youtube and look for Diana Sullivans Lesson 7 Stitches in Hooks & Speed Ripping.  She shows speed ripping at about 2 min in to the video.
Set includes two 55-stitch garter bars, connector set (to join the 2 bars to cover one complete needle bed), Set of 2 needlestoppers and instructions for all.
