This is an original GM center console original to 1964-1965 Buick Skylarks and possibly others. This console is well known as the ironing board console due to its unique space age design. This console was a favorite of customizers of the 60's and 70's due to its wild design and compact size. These consoles were hard to find back then and are like hen's teeth to find today. Don't miss this real deal ironing board console.
This console is in good original condition overall as shown. The console looks to be totally complete. The lid opens and closes smoothly. The chrome shines well with pitting as shown. The vinyl on the top has a small tear as shown. The area under the ironing board I believe was originally chrome and is now wrinkle black as shown. There are a few hairline splits in the base of the lid as shown which are cosmetic only and could be easily rectified if you plan to paint the console. I do not see any missing chunks or past repairs to the plastic parts. This is an awesome and hard to find factory center console.
